APT MAURITIUS
OUR SERVICES
Services offered by APT members
Air (Import/ Export) APT members are familiar with the import and export rules and regulations trading firms have to comply with, especially in foreign countries. They have access to any change through APT affiliation to FIATA, the International Federation of Freight Forwarders Associations, which is present in more than 150 countries all over the world but also thanks to each Freight Forwarder/ Logistics firm own network of overseas agents and representatives. All of our members are registered with the International Air Transport Association (IATA) to handle the diversity of air freight and be in line with the stringent air safety regulations. Our members have met IATA criteria regarding financial and credit standing, company premises, professional qualifications of staff and ethical practice. Furthermore, our members arrange for cargo insurance against damage, pilferage, loss or delay.
Courier Services
Courier Services are offered by members of APT when the delivery option is time-critical. Deliveries range from small envelopes to large packages. Our members pick up your correspondence and deliver it as fast as possible worldwide. Courier services offer a number of added value features such as speed, security, tracking, signature, specialization and individualization of services, and committed delivery times. If you are a time-bound importer or exporter, courier services will suit your unique requirements.
Inland (Import/ Export)
We have the ability to ensure effective door-to-door movement of goods from one country to another. APT members are fully conversant with port and airport charges as well as handling fees. We can arrange for inland transportation with road haulage companies on board normal trucks or equipped with cranes in Mauritius or in any foreign country where rail transportation is often available. For any special shipments, we will liaise with the police and relevant ministries.
Sea (Import/ Export)
APT members act as consolidators, grouping together small or medium size goods from different exporters and stuffing them in a full container load to a specific destination so that each customer pays the volume it occupies in the container, a cost-effective approach. Moreover, our members provide useful guidance on packaging, marking and labelling according to the final customer requirements. They can also undertake to offer these services or even arrange to have the merchandise bulk-broken or re-assorted at another point. APT members are linked to the Customs services through on-line electronic data interchange (EDI) capabilities for accurate submission of import documentation for security tracking of various shipments.
